My Current Go-To Skincare Products|What’s On My Bathroom Shelf?

Hello! I hope you are all doing well? I thought that I would share all my favourite skincare products I’m living for right now! We will be discussing all things skincare and the products I currently use daily, or in some cases, weekly. I have to say, there has been lot of trial and error – but I feel I have now found products that work well for me. So, it’s only fair to share, right?

Without further ado, let’s jump straight in!

My Skincare Routine

By far, I have found this the most difficult over the years. My skin journey has not been smooth sailing… quite the opposite in fact! Thankfully now though, I feel as if I have worked out what is best for my skin. In case you weren’t sure, I’ve also listed them in the order you should apply them in your own skincare routine!

Cleanser

Anyone who has sensitive skin, like me, will know that a super gentle cleanser is an absolute must. I have used so many that have just left my skin feeling completely stripped and begging for moisture. So I would have to say my favourite cleanser is the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. It feels incredibly luxurious and is very moisturising, so you can kiss goodbye to the stripped feeling post-cleanse YIPEE!

Toner

Simple has always been one of my favourite brands because it is oh so gentle. I’m currently using their toner, and have been for a long while now. Whats more, their products are packaged in recycled plastic packaging, are cruelty free and dermatologically tested!

Serum

Now I have a new obsession in my life, and it’s Ecooking serums! I got my first one in an Agora Sensitive Skin Edit I purchased (btw, stop what you’re doing and get the Agora app) and I have been converted. It is more on the expensive side, but well worth it for my sensitive skin.

Secondly, we have a sustainable brand whose serum I adore, Bolt Beauty’s Glow Don’t Shine. Their capsules, which hold the perfect amount of product (hello no more wastage🙌🏼) are fully biodegradable and made from seaweed. Their products are zero-waste which is something I have been looking more towards if you read my Sustainable Beauty post!

Eye-Cream

I have learn that I have super sensitive under-eyes which has meant a lot of trial and error with eye-creams. I have recently discovered a few which have been so great and I’ve had no reaction to either of them. First up, AHC Eye Cream in the morning, and then for the night-time I use Symbiosis Overnight Rejuvenating Eye Serum.

Acne Treatment

As you’ll see in an upcoming post, I don’t have an easy relationship with acne. Whilst it is 100x better than it is now, I STILL get breakouts – ugh! I have used EVERYTHING on the market and recently Avarelle’s Acne Treatment Spot Solution has been doing the trick. Again, the Simple spot treatments are great too.

Moisturiser

If I was going to spend slightly more on a product, or ask for a Christmas/ Birthday pressie, the Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream is a winner. Not a moisturiser I use everyday, just when I have particularly dry skin or fancy a bit of luxury.

For everyday use, though, I always use Simple’s moisturiser as I really do think it is the best… and I have said this before!

SPF

I’ve done an in-depth blogpost on my go-to SPF which you can read here. But as a quick recap, I use M&S’s Sun Smart Sensitive Face Suncream SPF30. It’s great value and great for my skin… a real win-win product right here!
